When moving to the cloud, the organization must assess the current applications and workloads to determine what will be migrated to the cloud, what apps to redesign, and which applications and workloads to maintain in the legacy system.
When an application or workload is considered “cloud ready,” it means it is a good candidate for cloud deployment.
Some of the criteria used for this classification include:

- performance
- availability requirements

Users
Ballot online company has experienced tremendous growth in the number of its users for the last five years. The percentage increase in the number of uses over the last five years is as follows;

Servers (standalone physical and virtual)
This organization needs to increase its servers to support the projected increase in the number of users in the future. In the last four years, the company has had a 100% average increase in the number of servers. Therefore, a 10% growth projection means that the organization will have to increase its servers to 1210 from the current capacity to support the activities of the company. There has been an undergrowth in the number of network switches in Ballot Online Company. In the last four years, there has been a 68% average increment in the number of network switches. This is relatively low as compared to the other resources in the company. By projection (10% increase), the company is likely to have 33 network stitches. However, they may not be enough to support the projected large number of users at the company.
Data Storage
The average number of data storage has been increased by 95% in the last four years. Therefore, a 10% growth means that the organization will have total storage of 2.75BP in the next financial year. However, this storage facility may not be enough to support all the activities of the customers due to a large number of users that are projected to join Ballot Online Company.
