Ethnographic Qualitative Research Response

The different methods for conducting qualitative research includes ethnographic, phenomenological, and grounded theory. Ethnographic research refers to research that is conducted by observing and sometimes even interacting with participants in their real-world environment (Hasa, 2017). This type of research aims to study the customs of individual peoples and cultures. Phenomenological refers to research that is described as research that aids in describing the conscious experience of an individual and the deviations from the normal experiences. Phenomenological research studies more than just  Ethnographic Qualitative Research Response help “the nature of being” of an individual (Hasa, 2017). Grounded theory involves inductive reasoning and uses a “methodology involving the construction of hypotheses and theories through the collecting and analysis of data” (University Libraries, 2022). A common example used to showcase the research done by grounded theory is exploring the reason why a student may become frustrated by the work and tasks they have to do.

All types of research are similar in that their data cannot be reduced to numbers, but also they all explore some aspect of the human experience.
