Read each person’s Chapter (attached) twice. In the first reading, just get the feel of the essay’s organization and points—make large-scale comments if they occur to you as you read.
In the second reading, start to fine-tune your feedback.
Make comments on the draft, and then write some feedback on this sheet (use complete
sentences and be as thorough as you can).
Questions/Comments to Consider:
1. Do you have any concerns about the writer’s submission? Peer Review
2. From the findings, are you able to identify the problem? Solution – if any? Explain.
3. Organization and transitions: Look through the essay and take note of the way the writer moves
from point to point, from one paragraph to the next. Do major ideas seem to be organized in a
logical way?
4. Support: Identify any areas in the essay that seem to need greater support in concrete evidence or
more explanation. Also, point out places where the writer needs to clarify how the evidence given.
supports the argument. Peer Review
5. Grammar/Spelling/Mechanics: Identify patterns you see in grammar, punctuation, and spelling
errors. Point to at least one example of each pattern in the draft.

Chapter 4I went to 3 different gym locations in Los Angeles and asked 100 men and 100 women these 3 questions. “Do you ever feel uncomfortable working out at the gym? How often do you come to the gym? Would you prefer to workout at a gender segregated gym? Peer Review 12% of men and 67% of women said that they have felt uncomfortable working out at the gym? 32% of men said they come to the gym 3 times a week, and 63% of women said they come to the gym once a week. 2% of men and 29% of women said that they would prefer to workout at a gender segregated gym. This shows a trend that tells me a few things. One thing I noticed is that the high percent of women feeling uncomfortable at the gym may be directly correlated to the lackof frequency throughout the week at the gym for women. Peer Review Only 15% of women said that they go to the gym more than twice a week. Also, the low percentage of both men and women that would prefer gender segregated gyms has a particular connotation to it as well. The fact that almost all the people questioned have never experienced a gender segregated gym and also the fact that the idea of seeing great bodies of the opposite sex is part of motivation to come to the gym in general for both men and women. Peer Review Most women said they feel that the attention they get from the men at the gym seems aggressive, but they still appreciate some attention, how ever Assignment on Peer ReviewMen also enjoy having the women to motivate them to showcase their strength at the gym but also a substantial motivator as well. This tell me that the gym culture with both me and women sharing that space with boosted testosterone and skintight clothing teasing the mind of the lurkers, that sexual harassment is normal in this environment. Out of the 100 women questioned 73% of them have said that they have been harassed or even stalked by someone at the gym. This tells me that there needs to be more options for these women to go workout and not have to just hope they don’t get pressured by a overly aggressive creep at the gym. Peer Review There’s a need for a chain of commercial women only gyms that women can feel comfortable in. Not only a safe haven away from potential harassment from these overly aggressive men but also a place where the shy can come improve their body and not feel embarrassed because men are around.  Also a place they don’t have to feel intimidated by these

stereotypes about how lifting weights will make you look like a man, but they will see other women that are beautiful and strong and realize that there are tons of benefits in weightlifting and it will not make you look like a man. Learn tips from female fitness professionals and learn about how fitness can help them with their pains throughout their menstrual cycle as well s stress relief. Peer Review These are just some examples of things that women will be more open to learning without the intimidations of men being around preventing that.
